As the Chinese gaming market booms, PC gaming platforms dominate player spending. According to a report by Niko Partners, nearly 2.3% of Chinese PC gamers will invest the majority of their money in PC games by 2024.

The report surveyed 1,079 gamers and found that Steam remains the largest PC publishing platform in China, with 80% of PC gamers using Steam to buy and play games. 19% of PC gamers said their gaming spending has increased by more than 30% in the past year.

It is worth noting that live streaming plays an important role in attracting Chinese gamers. 44% of respondents watch games and e-sports live broadcasts, and 69% use the Douyin platform to watch. 45% of respondents discover new games by watching short videos, which ranks first among PC and mobile gamers and fourth among console gamers.

In the field of mobile gaming, mini-games are booming, with the number of players reaching about 650 million. Surveys show that two-thirds of mobile game players play mini-games multiple times a day or week.

Lisa Hanson, chief executive of Niko Partners, said: "Our findings show that the Chinese gaming market still has significant potential with optimistic spending growth in the PC gaming sector."
